Tips & Tricks

Common questions and expert advice to help your garden flourish.

How often should I water my seedlings?

Water lightly but consistently—keep the soil moist, not soggy. Most seedlings need watering once a day or every other day, depending on heat and soil drainage.

When is the best time to water plants?

Early morning is best. This allows water to soak into the soil before the sun evaporates it and helps prevent fungal issues.

Why are my plants turning yellow?

Yellow leaves are often caused by overwatering or poor drainage. Check the soil—if it’s constantly wet, reduce watering and improve airflow.

Do all plants need full sun?

No. While many vegetables need full sun, leafy greens and some herbs grow well in partial shade. Always match light needs to the plant type.

How can I improve my soil quality?

Add compost or organic matter regularly. This improves drainage, adds nutrients, and helps plants grow stronger.

Why are my plants not growing well?

Common reasons include poor soil, lack of sunlight, overcrowding, or inconsistent watering. Check all four before adding fertilizers.
